Marvel Studios has said in a statement: “Letitia Wright sustained minor injuries today while filming a stunt for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

“She is currently receiving care in a local hospital and is expected to be released soon.”

It is understood Letitia has been released from hospital and filming on the superhero flick has not been delayed.

The Brit actress earned global recognition for her role in 2018’s Black Panther and has reprised her character Shuri for the upcoming sequel.

She will be joined by Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Florence Kasumba and Angela Bassett.

Ryan Coogler is also returning as director.

The 2018 original won three Oscars and made almost £1billion at the box office, making it the 12th highest- grossing movie ever.

The sequel is due for release next July and will also star Michaela Coel.

However, Chadwick Boseman, who played the lead role, tragically died from cancer aged 43 last August.

Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige said: “We’re going to do it in a way that would make Chad proud.”
