I scour the bins for unwanted furniture & turn them into ‘designer’ pieces people want to buy

A SAVVY DIY fan with an eye for design makes a huge profit flipping unwanted furniture which she finds on the street or in bins.

Maggie McGaugh‘s love for upcycling furniture began when she wanted a new dining table, but the price of expensive pieces put her off.

She eventually found one in a bin which she transformed into the dining table of her dreams, comlete with chairs.

Now, she has a whole TikTok and Instagram page dedicated to her designer-inspired pieces which she transforms for almost nothing, with people begging to buy them off her.

“Almost all the furniture I find is on the side of the road and in the trash. So it’s saving the environment and making me almost 100% profit,” she said in one of her clips.

“Occasionally I’ll fall in love with a piece and won’t even sell it, I’ll just keep it so I can furnish my house on a budget.”

Maggie takes inspiration from a range of furniture styles and no two pieces ever look the same.

She often shares photos of similar, more expensive version with clients to prove just how much they’re saving buying from her.

The crafty go-getter now has a whopping one million followers on TikTok and 5.4 million likes from fans who all tune in to see her incredibly easy and stylish transformations.

Whether bright and bold is your style, or lush neutral shades, Maggie proves she can tackle an task with a handful of tools and a stroke of paint.

You would never guess the designer-esque pieces came from the trash either as they look seriously stunning – and she makes up to $300 (£218) for each.

It comes as no surprise that Maggie has racked up an army of fans who are in awe of her designs.

“I wanna be like you I wanna do this,” one person gushed.

“Best flips I’ve seen,” said another. “You’ve got a good eye for colour and quality.”

Others raved about Maggie’s “one-part videos” which means they can easily learn how to do it themselves by watching a single clip.

Fans have called her work “amazing” and “beautiful” with thousands admitting they’re “impressed”.
