Naked man in ‘gimp mask’ seen staring at early morning traffic

Early morning commuters in Hampshire were shocked to see a naked man in a gimp mask staring at them on the motorway at 7am.

Traffic

The bizarre sight of the man standing in the layby prompted a 999 call from Craig Upton, a driver shocked at what he saw.

He said: “He was standing at a gate in a layby, naked with a latex black mask on.”

The commuter turned round to confirm what he had seen but the strange man was by then making a dash for the woodland.

Craig told the Daily Star newspaper: “He was just staring at the traffic like a horror movie, and then when we drove past again after turning round, he was running off.”

Hampshire Police confirmed their investigation in a statemento and urged anyone with information to come forward.

A spokeman said:””We received a report from a member of the public regarding the sighting of a suspicious man exposing himself to traffic at around 7am. Did you see what happened? Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you have dash-cam footage which may assist the investigation”

It comes after a spree of similar incidents in recent years, with 14 reported occurrences having taken place in North Somerset since 2018.
