Peter shared in an Instagram video: “Today’s really really a sad day for me, a sad day- yeah.”

He shared he and his friend, Apollo Nida, who is also the ex-husband of former RHOA star, Phaedra Parks, went to see Gregg before he passed and said: “It was just sad, and my friend didn’t look like my friend.

“My friend [had] been suffering and fighting this cancer thing, and it’s just a sad day…

“He’s a great guy and a great man. He’s a great dad. He’s a great husband.”

RHOA star Kandi Burruss also posted a photo of her and husband Todd Tucker with Nene and Gregg at a party.

She wrote: “My prayers go out to @neneleakes & her family.

“@greggleakes was an amazing man who always brought love & great energy to any room he walked into. I’m thankful for the great memories I have of him. Rest in peace Gregg.”

Cynthia Bailey posted a snap of her and husband Mike Hill with Nene and Gregg.

She penned: “This is one of my favorite photos of us. It brings back such fond memories. It was @itsmikehill birthday & we invited a few of our friends over for a last-minute gathering at Lake Bailey.

“Out of nowhere, Gregg asked to pray for Mike and me. For our love & our relationship. He was the first person to actually pray for us as a couple.

“It was so heartfelt and so beautiful. We were all so touched and blown away by his words. I think Mike & I both teared up. There was truly a ministry inside of him.”

The model went on: “He truly blessed us that night & we will never forget it. That was one of the many things that Gregg did to bless my life.

“I am so saddened to hear of his passing. My heart and prayers go out to @neneleakes and her family. Gregg was a good man, so kind & so loving. I will miss him, and will always honor his memory with love.”

Gregg lost his fight to colon cancer on September 1 after first being diagnosed in 2018, the family confirmed.

Yesterday, A spokesperson told E! News: “Today the Leakes family is in deep pain with a broken heart.

“After a long battle with cancer, Gregg Leakes has passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by all of his children, very close loved ones, and wife NeNe Leakes.

“We ask that you pray for peace and strength over their family & allow them to mourn in private during this very, very difficult time.”

NeNe, 53, and Gregg, a real estate investor, first tied the knot in 1997, before divorcing in 2011.

However, the pair would reunite and once again walk down the aisle in 2013.

They share son Brentt, 22, and Gregg also helped raise NeNe’s older son Bryson, 30.

Yesterday, The Neighborhood Talk, LLC’s Instagram shared a post from Brentt reading: “Spend time with your loved ones every chance you get.

“Time is so F**king valuable dog. I can’t express it.

“I’m learning the hard way watching my dad fight every day. Please go create memories with ya people.”
