The Kleinschmidts Reveal What We Will See On 100 Day Dream Home Season 3

If you’re wondering what makes them different from other married duos on HGTV, Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt can most certainly answer that. According to Brian, “We keep it real. We show the good, the bad, and the ugly of working with your spouse. Doing these stressful projects, it can get stressful.” He adds that the way the show is filmed is quite different from others, as it focuses on each person’s strengths separately, rather than having them film everything together.

The show presents Brian and Mika as individuals with their own unique skills and abilities. “If I’m doing a construction scene, [Mika’s] doing inspiration tours or design meetings. The only time I actually see what she was doing is when we watched the show together,” Brian explains. “So that’s kind of fun because we’re watching for the first time what each other was doing.”

Brian’s comment brings up another unique aspect of their show. Brian and Mika are not only the stars of the show, but producers as well. “We’re actually part producers in our show. So one thing that’s unique is we can see the rough cuts in the preliminary before it goes on the air,” Mika explains. “So by the time it airs, I mean, we’ve made notes.”

That being said, Mika jokes that even after three seasons, she simply can’t get used to seeing herself on TV. “It is kind of weird hearing your voice,” she admits.
