‘the Wire’ Actor Michael K. Williams Dies at 54

Michael K. Williams has died at age 54. 

“The Wire” actor was reportedly found dead in his Brooklyn, New York City apartment on Monday, according to the New York Post. The Post reported that Williams was found in the living room of his Kent Avenue penthouse by his nephew. 

Williams was most known for his role as Omar Little on “The Wire” and Albert “Chalky” White on the HBO series “Boardwalk Empire.” He also received three Emmy nominations for his roles in the 2015 movie “Bessie,” the 2016 limited series “The Night Of,” and the 2019 limited series “When They See Us.” 

Representatives for Williams did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
