Tipping Point fans do double take as they ‘recognise’ contestant as TV personality

Monday’s ITV Tipping Point viewers were convinced Ben Shephard was accompanied by Clare Balding on the teatime show.

Fans of the show took to social media to pour over Antonia’s likeness to the TV presenter and national treasure.

Antonia and Karen were the first two contestants axed on Monday’s episode.

Sharing comments and memes on Twitter, Tipping Point fans shared their hot takes on the quiz’s first show of the week.

One fan commented: “Antonio looks like Clare balding.”

“First time I’d noticed Clare Balding was a style icon,” said another.

“Poundland Clare Balding,” added a third viewer, rather critically.

Viewers had to do a double take to be sure it was not Clare Balding

The resemblance was uncanny to some viewers but unfortunately, Antonia did not last long on the game show.

After her early exit, one commented: “Antonia said it’s been great. That’s better than good, yeah?”

“Bye Antonia,” said a second, unemotionally.

“Antonia seems nice y’all,” another reckoned.

And another fan chipped in with: “Antonia looks at Karen with plenty of hate.”

Fans were glued to Monday’s episode

Ben Shephard hosted the quiz in which contestants answer questions to win turns on an arcade push-penny machine.

Dropping coin shaped tokens down four tunnels, they hope to knock them off a moving shelf.

The more they collect, the greater their cash prize at the end.

The player who has won the least is eliminated, and the last one left competes for the £10,000 jackpot.

Contestant Alex won £3,000 on the day of his wedding anniversary to wife Kate.

Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV
