Alex Rodriguez is looking to stay positive, despite the fact that this last year certainly hasn’t been easy for him. That being said, he spent his summer break on a yacht in the French Riviera so, it can’t be labeled the worst year of his existence! The former baseball star did not avoid the Jlo question in his recent sit-down with Entertainment Tonight. It was all good vibes from Rodriguez. He also took some time to talk about what he is looking to do with his life post “Jenny From The Block”.
Not Sidestepping The Issue
At this point, pretty much everyone under the sun knows that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez split and that she quickly started dating Ben Affleck. Rodriguez did the courageous thing then and answered the questions about Jennifer head-on. He did so, sending those good vibes that we were talking about earlier. On his relationship he mentioned,
“I had five years of an incredible life and partnership and also with my daughters, we learned so much. And now we have the opportunity to take that and move forward and say, ‘You know what? We’re so grateful for the last five years, how do we make the next five years better because of lessons learned?’
Focusing On His Girls
When we say that Alex Rodriguez is moving forward focusing on his girls, we are not necessarily talking about Melanie Collins or Madison LeCroy. Two of the women Alex has been linked to in the past couple of months. He is referencing his daughters when he talks about his girls. The former slugger mentioned that he felt he was currently in a great place in his life saying,
“I’m in a great place. I’m so grateful for where God and and and the light has really put me, and I’m really looking forward. Mostly to see how my girls keep developing.”
Channeling His Inner Magic Johnson
If there’s someone that Alex is looking to emulate in his later years, Alex says it would be his childhood hero Magic Johnson. That time on Shark Tank really rubbed off positively on Rodriguez. As he mentions that he is looking forward to helping young entrepreneurs. In a similar fashion to how he got help from Magic many years. On his admiration for the NBA great Rodriguez recalls,
“Magic showed me that you can be a Hall of Fame basketball player on the hardwood and you can be a Hall of Fame guy in the board room.”
Just Good Vibes All-Around?
The summer really seemed to sit well with Alex. From where he was right after the split sitting alone at a restaurant looking like he was about to cry to his shirtless pics in the south of France, only a couple of months passed. It’s a wonder what that type of trip alongside beautiful people can do for you! Rodriguez has gone back to his regular gig commenting on baseball games, as he mentions he’s also devoting a lot of time to his family and his entrepreneur work. If you’re busy you have less time to be sad, so more power to him!
