As Duggar fans know, Jim Bob and Michelle became famous for having 19 children. In several different shows, the family gave fans a peek into their lives with 19 kids under one roof.
Michelle has been open about letting God decide how many children she and Jim Bob had. After a miscarriage, which she believed was a punishment for her using birth control, she decided to leave the decision up to a higher power.
Now, many of the kids have grown up and started their own families. Since Jim Bob and Michelle’s eldest son, Josh, and his wife, Anna Duggar tied the knot, there has been a steady flow of pregnancies.
But now, things are a little different for the Duggars. Only one family member, Anna, is known to be expecting. It’s possible others are pregnant and haven’t announced it yet, though. There are many possible explanations for the sudden pause in pregnancies.

A Tumblr site called Duggar Data uses family statistics to predict when the next pregnancy will be announced. It’s possible that a few announcements are right around the corner.
Why is there a pause in pregnancies?
While there’s no way to know for sure what’s going on with the family, Duggar Snarks on Reddit are sharing their guesses. Some of them wonder if it has anything to do with “a lack of hyper-fertility.” Fans have referred to Michelle as “hyper-fertile” because she had so many children and had them close in age to one another. So, because there aren’t many Duggars pregnant right now, it’s possible it has something to do with them not being as fertile as Michelle.
One user wonders if a pregnancy announcement could be used to distract from news surrounding Josh’s arrest. They write, “I think there will probably be another baby boom in 2022 like there was back in November 2019. I bet you a million dollars if pest doesn’t take a plea deal someone will announce right during the trial so when you google ‘Duggar’ not every single headline is about pest. but personally, could just be a coincidence, and some may be pregnant but not far along to announce. by the end of the year, I think Joy, Katey, Claire, and Kendra will announce.”
