Homeowners Tell Man Trying to Save a Stranger’s Life to ‘Have Him Die Somewhere Else’

A man named Tony is being hailed a hero after saving a neighbor having a seizure. Without a second thought, Tony rushed to help as the car stopped on another neighbor’s lawn but was verbally attacked out of the blue by the homeowners.

In a Facebook post shared by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Tony is now considered a local hero after he managed to help a man who was having a seizure inside a moving vehicle.

According to the police, Tony is known around the area, and people can often see him pushing his lawnmower around, but on Monday, he was forced to stop on his way to work after noticing the man in distress.

PURE INSTINCT

Without thinking twice, Tony jumped into action and attempted to stop the car from rolling down Dunes Road, grabbing the fender with all his strength.

Although he couldn’t stop the car, having one of the tires run over his foot during the process, Tony saw the vehicle roll into a neighbor’s lawn, where it luckily stopped.

The driver, whose identity is yet to be revealed, was still violently convulsing, and with the doors locked and windows up, there was no way to get to him.

Tony immediately started calling for help, which was when the owners of the house stepped outside to see what was going on. As it turned out, their response was nothing short of shocking.

RUDE NEIGHBORS

Upon seeing Tony frantically trying to get help and the man convulsing behind the wheel, the neighbors yelled at Tony to get off their lawn, to get the man out of there and “have him die somewhere else.”

Several people left very harsh words towards the neighbors who refused to help.

Luckily, Tony knew where the man lived, just down the street, and rushed there to alert his wife, who called 911. The emergency services were quick to arrive and take the man to the nearest hospital.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the man later contacted them and asked for Tony’s phone number because he wanted to thank him for saving his life.

While Tony’s actions have been highly praised, several people who commented on the post left very harsh words towards the neighbors who refused to help.

One user even suggested that the neighbors who told the man to “die somewhere else” should have their names made public, so the whole neighborhood knows what kind of people they are.

A HEART OF GOLD

Earlier this year, a woman by the name of Emily Grigsby also made the news after choosing to stay behind to help her elderly neighbors rather than leave to find safety during devastating weather conditions.

According to the 39-year-old nurse, many of her neighbors had no way to keep themselves warm due to power outages, so she stayed put to help by bringing them food, checking their health, and tending to their needs.
