Mum in hysterics after stingray pulls same miserable expression as her daughter

A mum’s attempt at a family photo didn’t quite go to plan when a puzzled stingray decided to show up.

Wendy Armstrong, 41, regularly takes daughters Aurora, two, and Daisy, six months, for trips to the Lake District Coast Aquarium.

But during one visit, the mum-of-two noticed a stingray was taking an interest in Daisy and both were pulling the same expression.

And she couldn’t help but catch the moment on camera.

The nurse and her husband Mike, 45, said their little one is often a serious baby.

She added: “It is definitely up there as one of our favourite pictures that we have of our kids.”

Wendy explained how she had to capture the moment when she noticed they both pulled the same miserable facial expression.

She continued: “I burst out laughing and took a photo.

“When she was that age Daisy never used to smile that much which did slightly concern us, but thankfully she is much happier now!”

Stingrays are a close relative of sharks and they’re usually popular attractions at aquariums.

Members often get the chance to stroke their backs or just watch them in the aquarium.

It comes after a new study involving 60 rays found the fish do not suffer from their attraction with humans.

In fact, the researchers discovered the stingrays might even like being petted.

Meanwhile, one woman was left gobsmacked after spotting Paul McCartney “photobombing” her in holiday snap.

Mae Archie was looking back at her photos of a recent trip to New York City, US, when she noticed a rather famous face.

In the video shared to TikTok, none other than Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney can be seen walking towards the camera.

She posted the moment she found out her famous encounter on TikTok, after getting back home.
