My 600 Lb Life star Octavia Nichelle is showing off her incredible before and after photos on social media. Her recent Instagram post reminds her fans just how far she’s come.
You might recall seeing Octavia on the TLC show. Her story was featured on Season 7, Episode 1. She started out weighing 692 pounds. She rode on a mattress in the back of a van to get to Dr. Now in Texas because she was bedridden. Before that trip to Texas, she hadn’t been in a car in years. But it was time for a change.
In a new Instagram post, Octavia gets honest and writes, “I struggled with posting this picture. I cried when taking the before picture.”
She continues, “I didn’t want people to see me like this. I remember my buddy and favorite cameraman said you want to see how far you’ve come. I get it now! No one can take away what God has blessed me with.”
Sharing some insight into her progress and her mentality, Octavia adds, “I’m not doing unhealthy things to lose weight faster. I’m doing MY best. Slow and steady wins the race.”
The first photo is of Octavia in a wheelchair in her underwear. In the second snap, she’s standing in front of the mirror in a form-fitting black dress.

In the comments section of her post, fans can’t help but praise Octavia for all of her hard work. They think she looks great in the new before and after photo. One fan commented, pointing out that she’s able to move around on her own now, which she couldn’t do before. In response, Octavia writes, “My life is totally different now. ❤️”
Other fans are commenting on how inspiring her story is. One of her followers sweetly writes, “Your episode is my absolute favorite. Your journey is so relatable and realistic. You’ve been an inspiration to many of us. You look amazing!!!”
Plenty more encouraging, loving comments are pouring in for Octavia. It’s safe to say that she has lots of fans and will always have the support she needs from them. They hope she continues to take care of herself and that she will reach her goals.
