Sam Asghari deletes ring pic, claims Instagram was hacked

Oops, he did it … for the first time.

Britney Spears’ boyfriend Sam Asghari deleted a picture of a ring posted to his Instagram Friday, claiming that his account was hacked.

Various fan accounts and outlets screengrabbed the initial pic of the ring when it went live, seizing on the fact that was seemingly engraved with the word “lionness,” Asghari’s nickname for his beloved.

But he yanked the pic, putting up a text post on his Instagram Story that read simply, “account got hacked and was Photoshopped — calm down everyone,” per TMZ.

It’s understandable that fans would think Asghari, 27, was about to pop the question, given that he was seen ring-shopping at Cartier in Beverly Hills last week.

But the notion that he’d post a picture of the ring before asking Spears, 39, for her hand seems to run counter to Page Six’s reporting at the time.

“Britney and Sam are not engaged yet, but he has been talking about popping the question more and more lately,” a source exclusively told us last week. “Sam wants to spoil Britney with a very special, over-the-top and meaningful proposal when the time is right. He dreams of one day becoming a dad too, and Britney, of course, has always wanted to have more kids, especially now that hers are getting older.”

Asghari has been a central figure in Spears’ conservatorship battle both in and out of the court. Aside from supporting her online and off, he figured into Spears’ internet-breaking testimony against the conservatorship in June, when Spears alleged that she was being kept on birth control against her will.

“I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told right now under the conservatorship I’m not able to get married or have a baby, I have an [IUD] inside of myself right now so I don’t get pregnant,” Spears in court.

She added, “All I want is to own my money and for this to end and for my boyfriend to be able to drive me in his f—ing car.”
