THE showbiz world paid tribute today after Sarah Harding’s death aged 39 was announced by her devastated mum.
Names from the world of pop and entertainment have been left in shock by the news the former Girls Aloud star has died after battling breast cancer.
Sarah was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer last August and underwent a mastectomy and chemotherapy in a bid to prolong her life.
Her ex, reality star Calum Best, 40, who she dated in 2005, wrote that he was “so blessed” to have known her.
Sharing a picture of them together he wrote: “Jesus this one hits home, this is so sad, so young, so much life, so much talent.
“Sarah I’m so sorry ur gone , I will always remember the good times, I remember when we met around 22/23 at a event for glamour, spent all night flirting 😂😘.
“We then spent a few years together and I remember u where a shoulder for me when my dad passed and I valued u so much for that ! So blessed we where able to continue on a 16 year friendship ❤️❤️❤️.”
He concluded: “Rest in peace gorgeous and sending so much love to ur mom ❤️.”
Former Big Brother host Davina McCall, 53, added: “So so sad to hear about Sarah… a star from the get go , hugely fun and outgoing yet also somehow fragile… love to her family and friends.”
Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton, 39, wrote: “I am so sorry for your loss, this is heartbreaking 💔 Thinking of you all x.”
Denise Van Outen, 47, shared a picture of them together, saying: “Rest in peace beautiful Sarah. 💔.”
Ian ‘H’ Watkins from Steps added: “Fly high beautiful Sarah xx I will miss you xx 💔.”
TV star Fearne Cotton wrote: “Oh my gosh I’m so sorry to hear this. I’m sending your family so much love and strength.

Sarah’s mother Marie posted on Instagram today: “It’s with deep heartbreak that today I’m sharing the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away.
“Many of you will know of Sarah’s battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day.
“She slipped away peacefully this morning. I’d like to thank everyone for their kind support over the past year.
“It meant the world to Sarah and it gave her great strength and comfort to know she was loved.
“I know she won’t want to be remembered for her fight against this terrible disease – she was a bright shining star and I hope that’s how she can be remembered instead. – Marie x.”
