Pop star Shawn Mendes went on tour this weekend … to a number of New York City’s hottest nightclubs.
We’re told the singer celebrated the release of his new single “Summer of Love” with pals, starting with dinner at Beauty and Essex where he surprised patrons by getting up and performing the hit.
After, the group headed to PHD rooftop where a spy tells us he “immediately got on the mic and told the crowd, ‘let’s be thankful that we’re healthy and happy!’ before singing the song.
But that was just the beginning. Mendes and crew were later spotted at Lavo Nightclub, where an overeager fan managed to cross the velvet rope. However, “Mendes didn’t mind,” says a spy. “He took a selfie with them and poured a glass of Don Julio.”
Seemingly indefatigable, Mendes — who turned 23 earlier this month — later performed the hit again at Tao where we hear he was all smiles when his girlfriend, singer Camila Cabello’s song “Senorita” was playing.
(“Summer of Love,” produced by Tainy, references the hit 2019 song with the line “Meditation and tequila / Calling you my señorita.”)
And the night was still not over. Mendes was seen over at Chelsea hotspot Marquee where a spy says, “He was letting loose. He was joking around and pouring drinks.”
“His friends excitement and the crowd’s excitement never lessened after he did it again and again,” says a source who managed to catch every performance.

Mendes and Cabello were recently spotted frolicking on vacation in Mallorca.
