Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told the club’s official website that Jadon Sancho could play against Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United next weekend.

What’s the story?

United and Leeds will face each other at Old Trafford in the Premier League next Saturday.

The Red Devils and the West Yorkshire club are bitter rivals, and them meeting on the opening weekend of the new season is a blockbuster occasion.

Jadon Sancho could play

United manager Solskjaer has said that Sancho could feature against Bielsa’s team.

The England international winger joined the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.

According to The Guardian, United have paid Dortmund an initial transfer fee of £73 million for the 21-year-old winger.

Solskjaer told United’s official website: “Jadon is in for Monday and hopefully then he’s in decent nick and can be involved [against Leeds].”

Should Leeds United be concerned?

Sancho is one of the best young wingers in the world and will be determined to hit the ground running at United.

The 21-year-old will be keen on making a good impression at Old Trafford, if he makes his debut, of course.

This will be a concern for Leeds.

Of course, the Whites will play their own game and will try to be on the front foot, but Sancho can push the Leeds players back with his intelligence, pace, ability on the ball, and dribbling quality.

Sancho being available for United will certainly enhance their chances of picking up all three points from the encounter.
