Liverpool are reportedly about to sign a teenager from Newcastle United.
According to The Chronicle, Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign 16-year-old Bobby Clark from the Magpies very soon.
Tottenham Hotspur had also been linked but it looks like the Reds have won the race.
According to Lee Ryder of The Chronicle, the departure would be considered a ‘big blow’ within Newcastle due to Clark’s potential.
Here’s how some fans of the St James’s Park club are reacting to it on Twitter:
Too good to refuse
As some Newcastle fans said, you can’t blame Clark.
Not only are Liverpool a much bigger club, but just look at Harvey Elliott.
He joined the Anfield club as a 16-year-old and now, two years later, he is set to stay with Jurgen Klopp’s senior side after dazzling on loan at Blackburn Rovers last season.
If you’re good enough, you will get opportunities to shine at Liverpool irrespective of age and no doubt that players like Elliott – still only 18 – will inspire the Newcastle gem.
