Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter think that Tanguy Ndombele could leave this summer after he was left out of the matchday squad against Arsenal today.

What’s the story?

Tottenham took on Arsenal in a pre-season friendly match today.

Ndombele did not play for Spurs in the North London derby.

Following the game, Spurs head coach Nuno was rather cryptic in his explanation for the omission of the 24-year-old.

The Guardian quotes Nuno as saying: “Tanguy is not injured but we consider it is not yet the moment for him to be part of the game.”

What are Tottenham Hotspur fans saying?

As you can see from the tweets below, Tottenham fans are frustrated with Ndombele’s absence and believe that he is on his way out of the club.

Well, some of them anyway.

As reported by 101GreatGoals, France international midfielder Ndombele has not played in any of Tottenham’s pre-season games this summer.

The new Premier League campaign starts in a matter of days.

Ndombele made 28 starts and five substitute appearances in the league for Spurs last season.

The 24-year-old scored three goals and gave two assists in those games.

The former Lyon star also made three starts and four substitute appearances in the Europa League for Tottenham last season.

It is not quite clear why Ndombele has not been playing for Spurs, and perhaps we will know more in the coming days and week.
