One baby had a lucky escape after narrowly avoiding a tree when it fell through a Louisiana family’s nursery and destroyed part of their home in Baton Rouge.
Incredibly, video footage from the baby’s crib captured the near miss and was posted on TikTok by the baby’s god mother – Baylor Leonard (@waddamjit).

Leonard captioned the video: “When a tree hits right over your room but your big brother’s watching over you in heaven, this video is crazy. We’re so lucky.”
Since posting, the extraordinary video has gone viral with 8.3m views and over 1.3m likes.
In the clip, the baby boy is fast asleep in his crib.
Suddenly, a loud crash can be heard as the tree falling down onto the house with debris flying everything – including on to the baby.
Obviously, the unexpected event frightened the baby as he wakes up and begins to cry while his mother, Courtney Buchholtz, hastily into the nursery to get him to safety.
As she walks into the destruction, the mum was understandably in shock at the scene as she said: “Oh my God, Holy sh*t.”
People flooded to the comments to share their relief that the baby was unharmed during the freak incident.
One person wrote: “Omg I’m literally crying poor baby, I’m so glad he’s okay.”
“That is soooo scary, the way the baby jumped was painful to see,” another person added.
Someone else replied: “Omg!! Thank GOD the baby was ok.”
“Thank God your baby is safe, as a mama this put knots in my stomach,” a fourth person commented.
In an interview, Buchholtz told Inside Edition: “Hearing him cry was a relief actually because I did fear the worst.”
She added: “I was terrified at the thought of losing him.”
Inside Edition also reported that five-month-old baby Cannon, “miraculously didn’t sustain a single scratch.”
