Viewers have watched as Alana has broken down and struggled with her mother’s absence.

In August 2021, Alana appeared as a centerfold on the cover of Teen Vogue.

Alana appeared in the magazine dressed much differently than the casual attire viewers are used to seeing the 15-year-old sporting on reality TV.

In their interview with the high schooler, Teen Vogue discussed her breakout role on the series which brought her career into motion at six-years-old, and the success she’s endured since.

“I want to be the best I can be, and I want to make my money, and I also want to make straight A’s, so I just try my hardest,” she told the publication.

However, the TV star admitted that she’s struggled keeping up with the lifestyle that fame brought her as she is still a “child.”

The interview continues with Alana claiming that she has moved on from her Honey Boo Boo character and embraced her true identity as Alana.

“They are completely two different people,” she told Teen Vogue.

“I would say that I do like this Alana now, rather than the younger Alana.”

While Alana revealed that she is currently working on her relationship with her mother, she said she is proud of herself for how far she has come.

What happened between Honey Boo Boo and Mama June?

In 2019, Mama abandoned her family for troubled boyfriend Geno Doak.

The mother and grandmother has four daughters: Anna, 26, Jessica, 24, Pumpkin and Alana.

In an episode of Mama June: Family Crisis, Pumpkin, 20, and Mama June, 41, reunited after not seeing each other for months as the family matriarch admitted she had done thousands of dollars worth of drugs a day.

She sold her Georgia home at a huge loss for fast cash in October 2019.

“The only reason I sold the house, I was dead f**king broke,” Mama June told her shocked daughter.

“Because you know, at that point, we was doing quite a bit. I mean, it was a couple ounces a day. Our habit was $2,500 a day, if not more.”

June was posting videos from Florida to promote her $30 personalized video messages and other merchandise and was spotted pawning a diamond ring for $1,500 and on Facebook Marketplace in January 2021.

In August 2021, The Sun exclusively revealed that Geno had been sentenced to 16 months in prison on drug charges after his ex narrowly avoided any jail time related to the same 2019 drug arrest.

According to court records, Geno was admitted into the Alabama prison system on July 29, and was given a release date of November 28, 2022.

How did Mama June lose weight?

Since 2016, June has lost over 300 pounds.

After the insertion of her gastric sleeve, Mama June underwent more surgery to achieve a total body transformation in 2017.

The reality star went under the knife for a breast augmentation, liposuction on her arms and skin removal on her “turkey neck, and “batwing” arms, and stomach — an area where doctors removed nine pounds of excess skin.

All in all, her surgeries cost a whopping $75,000.

In a trailer for the upcoming season of Mama June: Road to Redemption, June admitted she gained 60 lbs.

“Look we have put on a little couple extra pounds.

“I’ve put on about 60. He’s (Geno) put on about 100. We put on a whole other person. But I’m going to blame it on healthy Covid weight,” she said.

How much does Honey Boo Boo make per episode?

Alana reportedly made $50,000 per episode when she appeared on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

Despite these figures, the family is said to be suffering financial woes.

Papers obtained by The Sun revealed that Lauryn’s husband Josh Efird failed to pay the September rent of $1,242 for the home they were once living in and was sued, while also being charged an additional $95 in late fees.

According to the Georgia court papers, the landlord demanded the past due rent and possession of the home.

June revealed in an interview with Access Hollywood that she and Geno spent “a good $900,000” on “the last year of our addiction.”

“So much money was sent to our dope man,” she said.

What is Honey Boo Boo’s net worth?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Honey Boo Boo has grossed a net worth of $400,000.

She first rose to fame after appearing on TLC’s Toddlers and Tiaras, a reality show that follows various child pageant participants and their families.
