Britney Spears returns to Instagram to share shots from getaway with fiance Sam Asghari one week after deleting account

BRITNEY Spears returned to Instagram Monday after deactivating her account.

The 39-year-old singer fired up her page after taking a break for a week and shared two photos after enjoying a weekend “celebrating her engagement” with fiance Sam Asghari.

The newly engaged star wrote: “Some shots from my weekend getaway to celebrate my engagement with my … holy s**t … FIANCÉ … I still can’t believe it !!!!

“I couldn’t stay away from the gram too long so I’m back already 💍😂🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 !!!! Psss I took these in Palm Springs with clip in extensions 💁🏼‍♀️😉🌹!!!!!”

The two photos show Britney in a white peasant top posing outdoors, with one of the images with a black and white filter.

Curiously, Britney did not share any photos of Sam, 27, in her post.

The post came after Britney said she was taking a break from social media to enjoy her engagement after her fitness model boyfriend of more than four years proposed with a huge diamond ring last week.

After fans noticed Britney’s Instagram appeared to be deleted, they quickly took to Twitter to express their concern and fear for her.

The pop star jumped on Twitter herself, to ease their worries by confirming she deactivated the page herself and that she needed a little hiatus.

“Don’t worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement 💍😉 !!!! I’ll be back soon 💋🌹✨,” Brit wrote.

A source also had added to Page Six that fans shouldn’t be concerned because Britney deleted her Instagram to send a “powerful” message.

The insider added: “She’s happy and in a great place, and silence can be a powerful thing and a powerful message.”

This was her decision.”

Britney decided to take a social media hiatus “in light of the successful path that she’s been on and continues to be on [following] the news of [her engagement].”

The singer’s attorney, Mathew Rosengart, also confirmed to the outlet that it was her decision to quit Instagram.

Britney and Sam announced their engagement news on social media on September 12 with an adorable video and sweet photos.

The pop star winked at the camera, kissed Sam, and covered her mouth while showing off her engagement ring in the cute clip.

Sam’s manager Brandon Cohen shared the news in an additional statement, saying he was “proud to celebrate and confirm the engagement,” according to People.

“The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication, and love expressed to them.

Brandon concluded that Sam “couldn’t be happier to be involved and make this one-of-a-kind ring.”

Britney’s ring was designed by Forever Diamond of New York jeweler Roman Malayev.
