Kyle Falconer teases new tour date at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom

Kyle Falconer has teased fans with a new gig date at the Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom.

The Same Jeans singer told fans that there are only a few dates left for his gig at St Luke’s next month and that maybe it’s time to get another Glasgow gig set in stone.

On Twitter, he wrote :”Alright troops!!! Jus been told tickets for Glasgow are very low indeed! Let’s get it sold out and get a bigger show on sale!! What yous think? Time for the barras!!!!? X”

And fans were all for it.

One wrote: “Barras or Academy chief! Bring it on!”

Another added: “Very ready for the Barras!”

While one reminisced about the last time he played at the venue.

They said: “You remember much of the night you boys played @TheBarrowlands and Towers of London supported. Show got held up to clean the stage up after all the pints that were flying about when they were on.”

Kyle recently released his second solo album ‘No Love Songs For Laura’, which hit No 6 in the national charts just one day after its release.

Kyle, who has been dashing around the country to promote the new album, has been given support for his new offering from celebrity pals including former flatmate Martin Compston who bought it.

Martin, however, couldn’t resist having a quick go at Kyle for his past behaviour as a flatmate, referring to one of their previous flats where they lost money on the deposit following Kyle’s actions.

He wrote: “Bought, I’ll add it to what you owe me on what we lost from the Seven Sisters flat deposit. Can’t wait to hear that vinyl scratch pal.”

Kyle recalled the incident and revealed why the money was lost saying: “Ye but you loved my wee Mural painting I did on your wall?!!!! Mad times! Nice one chief x”

Irvine Welsh also put his weight behind the star saying: “Should be No1 – let’s get it there.”

“If you like Kyle Falconer and Creation can you buy the record this week and get the wee guy in the top ten where he belongs. Please support us. Love you.”

Kyle said of the album’s success so far: “Thanks to all you mad humans that I should call pals for sorting me out and buying this wee ‘moment’ in my life with ‘your’ own cash. Forever grateful man x x x x x x x.
