After testing positive for coronavirus, N’GOLO KANTE has been ruled out of Chelsea’s Champions League match against Juventus.

The 30-year-old Blues midfielder has only recently returned from injury and had hoped to feature in the crucial Champions League match.

N’Golo Kante has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been placed on self-isolation, which means he will miss games against Juventus and Southampton[/caption]

However, the club has not confirmed that Kante has been placed on self-isolation as a result of his positive result. The France international will also miss Saturday’s Premier League match against Southampton (

Chelsea defeated Zenit St Petersburg 1-0 at home in their tournament opener earlier this month. However, Thomas Tuchel’s side comes into the game in Turin having suffered their first defeat of the season, a 1-0 Premier League loss to Manchester City. Due to injury, the German coach will almost certainly be forced to travel to Juventus without Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, or Reece James.
