‘Magnum PI’ is set to return to CBS in October for a fourth season, and the reboot of the classic series is already making waves with its new character additions. The reboot was created by Donald P Bellisario and Glen A Larson. Peter M Lenkov and Eric Guggenheim created the OG series. ‘Magnum PI’ takes place in the same universe as ‘Hawaii Five-0’ and ‘MacGyver.’ Magnum (Jay Hernandez), a former Navy seal turned private investigator who solves crimes in Hawaii, stars in the series. Although the critics gave it a mixed 57% on Rotten Tomatoes, the audience gave it a strong 72%. The reboot season’s success led to CBS renewing the series for three more seasons. ‘Mаgnum PI’ premieres on CBS on October 1st.
