THE View fans couldn’t believe it when Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran body shamed Whoopi Goldberg live on the show.
A clip of the moment went viral on Thursday after Barbara, 72, made a joke about making two pairs of jeans out of one pair of Whoopi’s jeans.
But viewers praised Ana Navarro after her funny comeback aimed at Barbara as she defended Whoopi, 65.
The moment happened while the hosts were discussing Emma Grede, the Founder & CEO of Good American, a maker of denim clothing with inclusive sizing.
Sunny Hostin praised the jeans, to which Whoopi replied: “Well, I have to try them.”
Whoopi then questioned whether they would fit “this COVID [butt]?”
Sunny and Ana assured her they would.
Barbara then stated: “And when you get finished with those jeans, and decide you don’t like them, give them to me. I’m gonna make two pairs!”
There were a couple of giggles but Whoopi appeared to be lost for words.
Seconds later, Ana, 49, came to her defense with a perfect comeback at Barbara.
“Whoopi, let me just tell you something. Both Sara Haines and Jill Biden wore that dress already, on TV” she said, referring to Barbara’s colorful outfit choice, before ripping up her own question cards.
“That’s not true” Barbara hit back, trying to defend herself.
Ana added, “Donald Trump Jr. tried that on me. It didn’t work!” referring to the former president’s son’s dig at Ana’s weight after her false positive COVID test. No no no.”
Fans took to Twitter to express outrage at Barbara’s mean-spirited comments.
‘FLAT OUT MEAN’
“Wow that wasn’t even funny that was just flat out mean.” one person wrote
Another wrote: “Lol. That wasn’t nice what Barbara said, but ANA? Lmao! She got her! Do not come for Whoopi!”
“I did a double take when she said that. Had to rewind it to make sure I heard her right. Bad joke, Barbara.” Came another comment.
“Wtf was that!? Awful but thankfully @ananavarro never fails to deliver.”
WHOOPI’S NEW DEAL
Deadline reported last month that Whoopi landed a deal to stay on the show until at least season 28. It’s currently in its 25th season.
Whoopi co-hosts the show with Joy Behar, Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin.
The Sister Act star has served as the show’s moderator since 2007.
The new deal comes after Meghan McCain exited the show leaving a co-host vacancy the show is yet to fill.
A line-up of conservative guest co-hosts will fill her spot in the coming months including Condoleezza Rice, Mia Love, Gretchen Carlson, and Alyssa Farah.
